DAY 1 SUN 30 OCT.      AUSTRALIA - TOKYO
Travel to Narita airport and transfer to Tokyo Hotel.

DAY 2 MON 31 OCT.                              TOKYO
Morning sightseeing to Asakusa temple including a stroll down the colourful Nakamise shopping street, Ueno and Ginza. Afternoon free.

DAY 3 TUE 01 NOV.       MT. FUJI & HAKONE
Travel to Mt. Fuji and enjoy picturesque Hakone including a Lake Ashi cruise and ropeway ride at Mt. Komagatake. Lunch at local restaurant. Check in at Onsen Resort (hot spring ) hotel. Formal Japanese style welcome dinner at hotel.                       B L D

DAY 4 WED 02 NOV.        HAKONE - KYOTO
Travel on to Kyoto by Bullet train. Short subway ride to hotel and check in . Remainder of day free at leisure.         B _ _

DAY 5 THU 03 NOV.                              KYOTO
Sightseeing tour of Kyoto visiting Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), Handi-craft centre. Afternoon, visit Kiyomizu temple overlooking the city. Part of the fun of visiting Kiyomizu temple is the approach to the temple along the steep and busy lanes of the enchanting Higashiyama district.                                                       B L D

DAY 6 FRI 04 NOV.
                                 KYOTO - OSAKA - KYOTO
Walking tour of Osaka visiting Osaka Castle and Dotonburi precinct.                                                                                                             B L _


DAY 7 SAT 05 NOV.
                         KYOTO - HIROSHIMA - KYOTO
Day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island and the famous floating Itsukushima Shrine and world famous Torii gate. Travel then to Hiroshima to view the Atomic Bomb Museum. Return to Kyoto.                     B _ D

DAY 8 SUN. 06 NOV      KYOTO- KANAZAWA
Morning, travel on to Kanazawa.
Transfer to hotel. Afternoon free.

DAY 9 MON. 07 NOV                   KANAZAWA
Half day tour of Kanazawa: visit traditional potter; chance to see a master potter at work; visit Kanazawa’s old geisha district Higashiyama; Gold Leaf craft work shop; Kenrokuen garden, one of Japan’s most famous gardens; and samurai residential area. Afternoon free at leisure- Perhaps visit the 21st Century Art museum.                 B _ _

DAY 10 TUE. 08 NOV
KANAZAWA - SHIRAKAWAGO - TAKAYAMA Travel to a Japanese rice paper (Washi) work shop and learn how this beautiful
traditional paper is made. Travel to Shirakawago, a small world heritage listed village, nestled in the mountains beside a pristine mountain river. Walk through this centuries old village with its thatched
rooves and restored farmhouses. Late afternoon, arrive at Takayama.               B _ D

DAY 11 WED 09 NOV
                  TAKAYAMA - TSUMAGO - TOKYO
Enjoy famous Takayama morning Market. Travel to Tsumago, where cars are banned and signs of modernity such as power lines are hidden to maintain the old style ambiance. After strolling along the old streets and soaking up the atmosphere, travel on to Tokyo. Check in at hotel.    B _ _

DAY 12 THU 10 NOV
                        TOKYO - KAMAKURA - TOKYO
Enjoy a full day walking tour of the Great Buddha of Kamakura, where the first samurai government was located at the end of the 12th century, and other sites. Close to Tokyo, Kamakura offers a glimpse into the roots of today's Japan. Farewell Dinner at hotel.                                                             B _ D

DAY 13 FRI 11 NOV                                TOKYO
Day at leisure. Perhaps visit Nikko or go to Ginza and Roppongi for window shopping or to the electrical town of Akihabara. Your tour escort will help organise your activity.

Optional tour available with English speaking guide. Nikko Kegon Waterfall Tour, 1 day with Lunch — $185.00/person
You will visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine, famous as a Cultural World Heritage. Afterwards travel up Irohazaka to Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Waterfall, considered one of the three most beautiful waterfalls in Japan.                                                                              B _ _
DAY 14 SAY. 12 NOV TOKYO - AUSTRALIA
Enjoy your last day in Japan with some last minute souvenir hunting or some optional half day activity. Or follow your tour coordinator to Meiji shrine and fascinating Omotesando promenade along the Harajuku district where Tokyo’s old & new cultures meet.
