1 SYDNEY/NARITA
Day flight to Narita Airport and transfer to Tokyo hotel. |

Day 2 TOKYO
Full day tour of Tokyo by motor coach. Visit Tokyo Tower ; Tea
ceremony at Happoen Garden . After Barbecue-style Lunch, visit
Imperial Palace Plaza. Enjoy Sumida River Cruise Hinode pier -
Asakusa. Asakusa temple and stroll down the colourful Nakamise
shopping arcade and Ginza (drive through). Welcome dinner at hotel. |

Day 3 MT.
FUJI & HAKONE
A day trip to Mt. Fuji by deluxe motor coach and enjoy picturesque
Hakone including the lake Ashi cruise and ropeway gondola ride.
Lunch at local restaurant by the lakeside. Return to hotel. Dinner
at hotel

4 TOKYO - KYOTO
Travel on to Kyoto by Bullet train. Afternoon, visit
Kiyomizu temple overlooking the city. Part of the fun of visiting
Kiyomizu temple is the approach to the temple along the steep
,busy lanes of the atmospheric Higashiyama district. Dinner at
hotel. |

Day 5 KYOTO
- NARA
Full day sightseeing tour of Kyoto and Nara visiting the Golden
Pavilion, Nijo Castle, Golden Pavilion , Kyoto Imperial Palace
and Handicraft Centre. After lunch, travel to Nara, the ancient
capital of Japan; visit Todaiji temple, Nara deer park and Kasuga
shrine. Return to Kyoto. Dinner at hotel |

- HIMEJI - HIROSHIMA
Morning, travel by a Bullet train to Himeji, to visit the famous
and beautiful Himeji Castle which is one of the the best preserved
castle in all of Japan. Travel then on to Hiroshima. Visit Hiroshima
Peach museum. Stay in Hiroshima. For dinner, Hiroshima savoury
Pancakes session. |

8 HIROSHIMA - MIYAJIMA - OKAYAMA
Miyajima is a small island near Hiroshima, it is famous for Itsukushima
Shrine and its floating torii gate. A UNESCO World Heritage Site
and officially one of Japan’s Top 3 Views. |

DAY 9 OKAYAMA
- TAKAMATSU - OKAYAMA
Full day sightseeing tour to Takamatsu. Travel to Shikoku
Island across the Seto Inland Sea by train. Visit Ritsurin Park
which is the largest “National Scenic Beauty” Garden,
made up of 6 ponds and 13 hills beautifully arranged against the
green pine trees as well as many stone arrangements that evolve
in the wonderful style of the early Edo era.

DAY 10 OKAYAMA–
KURASHIKI- KANAZAWA
Morning, travel to Kurashiki a well preserved Edo period mercantile
town. Enjoy a stroll through this fascinating town. Then travel
on to Kanazawa. |

DAY 11 KANAZAWA
Sightseeing tour to Kanazawa’s old geisha district, Gold
Leaf and famous Kutani Pottery workshops , the former samurai
residential area and the Kenrokuen garden which is one of Japan’s
most famous gardens. |

DAY 12 KANAZAWA
- SHIRAKAWAGO
Travel to Shirakawago Ogimachi, a small world heritage listed
village, nestled in the mountains beside a pristine mountain river.
Enjoy a traditional home dinner and breakfast, during your stay
overnight in a centuries old thatched roof farm house, including
sleeping Japanese style on futon and a traditional Japanese bath. |

DAY 13 SHIRAKAWAGO
- TAKAYAMA
Morning walk around the village, travel to an old town, Takayama
whose isolation has allowed Edo period streets, lined with tiny
shops, museums and eating places, to survive to this day. Enjoy
Takayama Spring Festival floats and the colourful festival atmosphere |

DAY 14 TAKAYAMA
- TOKYO
Enjoy Takayama’s morning market. After strolling along the
old streets and soaking up the atmosphere, travel on to Nagoya to
catch bullet train to Tokyo. |

DAY 15 TOKYO
- AUSTRALIA
Enjoy your last day in Japan with some last minute souvenir hunting
or some optional half day activity. Perhaps follow your escort to
Meiji shrine and Omotesando promenade of Harajuku, where Tokyo’s
old & new cultures meet. Late afternoon, leave hotel for Narita
by airport bus. Depart for Australia. |
